REGISTRATION & PACKET PICK UP QUESTIONS


HOW DO I REGISTER?

You may register either online, or in person at packet pick up, or at race site on race day (6:30am - 7:45am).

WHAT IS THE EASIEST WAY TO REGISTER?

Registering online is the easiest way to sign up.

CAN I REGISTER AT A PACKET PICK UP LOCATION?

Yes

CAN I PICK UP A PACKET FOR A FRIEND OF FAMILY MEMBER?

Yes

ARE CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED AT PACKET PICK UPS?

Yes

AM I GUARANTEED A RACE SHIRT?

All pre-registered participants signed up at least 1 WEEK IN ADVANCE are guaranteed the race shirt size they requested during the registration process. Late sign ups are not guaranteed the shirt size of their choice, shirts will be given on a first come first serve basis. We will do a reprint of shirts and will make them available for pick up. You will receive in email with the date and location once we have the reprinted shirts.

WHAT TYPE OF SHIRTS ARE BEING GIVEN?

We give participants a choice between a t-style or singlet (tank top) style tech fabric shirt. Sizing information is available HERE.

WILL I BE ABLE TO CHANGE MY SHIRT SIZE?

You will not be able to exchange your shirt until after the race. We will have an area for shirt exchange after the race for those wishing to exchange their shirts. You will be given the shirt size you ordered during registration, sorry but no exceptions.

HOW CAN I GET A RACE SHIRT IF I DO NOT WANT TO PARTICIPATE?

You may register as a FOBs - Friends/Fans of Bad Dog to receive a race shirt. You do not have to compete if you do not wish to do so. You may pick up your shirt at any of the packet pick up locations. If you are out of town we will mail your shirt to you a couple weeks after the race.

WHAT WILL WE RECEIVE AT PACKET PICK UP?

You will receive your race shirt, bib, race goody bag, and our gratitude for supporting our event.

WHAT TYPE OF TIMING IS BEING USED?

Memphis Runners Track Club will be timing the event. They use an Ipico timing system. Your timing chip will be on the back of your racing number bib. Participants must wear their number on the FRONT of their shirt.

The Overton Square Tower Pavilion (Trimble Street between Cooper and Florence)

WHAT TIME DOES THE RACE START?

8:00am sharp! Lane Purser doesn't like late starting races!

WHAT IF IT IS RAINING/SNOWING ON RACE MORNING?

The race will happen rain, snow, or shine. But if it's snowing in late April you might not be at the right race!

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?

Most runners plan to arrive at an event 1 hour prior to race start time. If you have not picked up your packet at a packet pick up, please arrive at least 1 hour in advance of race start.
How long will it take to find a place to park? Around 5-10 minutes. To avoid long lines please arrive early.

WHERE DO I PARK?

All participants will park in the surface lot located at Cooper and Trimble or in the Overton Square parking garage. Parking is FREE.

ARE BABY JOGGERS/BABY STROLLERS ALLOWED IN THE RACE?

Yes, please start towards the end of the pack.

ARE WALKERS ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE?

Yes. We love our walkers! We do request that you please start towards the end of the pack.

ARE RUNNERS ALLOWED TO RUN WITH DOGS?

Dogs are not allowed at the Bad Dog 5K race.
